The Eclipse Reflex Spring Mattress is the responsive-comfort option within the Aurora range, combining traditional open-coil support with a reflex foam layer for added bounce, cushioning, and stability. It suits sleepers who want more give than a standard spring mattress without moving fully to memory foam. The reflex foam comfort layer delivers a responsive, bounce-back feel that absorbs movement and helps reduce surface disturbance during sleep, while the open coil Bonnell spring core beneath provides even weight distribution and consistent full-body support. A denser support layer adds structure and helps the mattress maintain a stable, durable sleeping surface over time, and the breathable quilted cover promotes airflow and moisture control. Reflex foam behaves differently to memory foam in that it pushes back against pressure almost immediately rather than slowly moulding around the body, which is what gives this mattress its distinctive responsive character. Pressure relief and motion isolation sit at a moderate level – better than a plain open coil mattress, though without the contouring of a full memory foam or hybrid. Edge support is standard, and the overall bounce is best described as responsive rather than plush, making it easy to change position or get in and out of bed. This balance of structure and give suits sleepers who found a basic Bonnell spring mattress too firm, but who still want a defined, supportive surface underneath.
Part of the Aurora range, this mattress offers a medium comfort level via its open coil bonnell spring with reflex foam comfort layer construction, suits back, side and combination sleepers, and supports a maximum weight of 120kg per sleeper. It is delivered vacuum rolled and boxed and is compliant with UK BS7177 Medium Hazard. The mattress is suitable for slatted bases, divans, and ottomans, and only needs rotating head-to-toe every 3 months, with no flipping required. Allow 24–48 hours for full expansion after unpacking, and use the rolled format to your advantage when moving the mattress through tight staircases or narrow hallways.
