Description

Cymbidium 'Jingle Bells' is a captivating orchid that boasts elegant, deep-yellow flowers speckled with burgundy. Its lush, long green leaves provide a striking contrast to the vibrant blooms. This strong-growing orchid is a reliable bloomer, producing masses of dainty flowers throughout the early and later parts of the year. Whether displayed on a windowsill or as part of a larger indoor garden, 'Jingle Bells' adds a touch of tropical elegance to bright, indirectly lit rooms. Please note that the plant will arrive in bud or flower, and comes in a 14cm nursery pot as standard, unless a decorative pot cover is included as an option. This orchid prefers cooler growing conditions, between 10-14C (50-57F) in the winter, and below 30C (86F) in the summer in a well lit place, with good ventilation but not in full sun. Let the compost dry out slightly on the surface before watering with tepid soft water, or rainwater, allowing any excess water to drain away and then remove - don't leave the plant sitting in water. Feed through the summer with an orchid feed. It may produce roots outside the pot, but this is nothing to worry about. Once the flowers have finished, cut back the flower spikes to the base. Pot on using a specialist orchid compost. Position: Bright, indirect light Soil: Specialist compost Rate of growth: Average Flowering period: September to March Hardiness: Frost tender
