The flowers of this orchid may be small, but there are loads of them (we lost count!), making the overall effect really impressive. Equally impressive is their longevity—one in our office last year flowered non-stop for virtually the whole year. They are relatively easy to grow; ours soldiered on pumping out flowers despite getting little TLC and the occasional neglect. Given as a gift, the recipient will be thrilled! Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (sent in a simple nursery pot). They make excellent potted plants, and if you want a "finished" look, we offer a wide range of pots on our website. Home care: Keep the compost moist during warmer months, but reduce watering to occasional in winter. Ideally, stand them in a tray of water or sink to soak for an hour or two, then let excess water drain completely. Give them a good soak when quite dry rather than watering little and often, preferring soft, tepid water. They love humidity, making a bright kitchen or bathroom ideal. Mist leaves occasionally, especially in heated rooms. Don't worry if aerial roots grow outside the pot; they don't mind being overcrowded, so only repot when growth suffers. Trim flower stems to just above the first node after flowering to encourage a second flush. Keep temperatures even, avoiding big drops at night.
